三世因果經

本經自民國五十五年印出後,挫受外界歡迎,出版至今將達七萬冊,對世道人心,頗具收效,誠一盛事也 。

出版期間,極得越南中華佛學研究院長明本法師及台北新店碧潭大佛寺能定法師之助,特此鳴謝!

善為至寶、一生用之不盡。心作良田、百世耕之有餘。

願人人孝順父母。願人人知足常樂。

願人人身心健康。願人人樂善好施。

願人人家庭圓滿。願人人齊歸善道。

願人人心地純潔。願人人修道皆成。 

民國五十五年,居住台北市(原藉安溪)劉居士,看中了這部「因果經」,發心印贈,廣為流通,在他的本意,認為本經一旦在社會出現,對世道人心而言,將具有決定性的貢獻。

當時,他為求其多彩多姿起見,特請大漫畫家「牛哥」和劉興欽楊齊爐先生製圖加插,詎料幾位漫畫家發心繪製多幅,不收分文,誠一大快事也。

本經出版以後,函索信件,如雪片飛來,前後印出多達十萬冊以上,印支佛子,因遠隔重洋,遠水樓台,聞訊來函,惜庫無存本了。

本年四月,我應聘前往漢城傳授「韓國護國千佛菩薩大戒」,與劉居士見面,談及「因果經」一事,劉居士為滿足「黃金半島」佛子請經的弘願,擬再大量印製,廣結善緣。並請求我與以修編,事關弘法,義不容辭,除再請楊齊爐漫畫家添繪插圖外,圖文略事調整,成出倉卒,缺漏難免,倘對眾生身心,有所裨益,則我願也足矣。

三世因果經 

        爾時,阿難陀尊者,在靈山會上,一千二百五十人俱。

阿難頂禮合掌,遶佛三匝,胡跪合掌。請問本師釋迦牟尼佛:

        南閰浮提,心切眾生,末法時至,多生不善,不敬三寶,不重父母,無有三綱,五倫雜亂。貧窮下賤,六根不足。終日殺生害命,富貴貧窮,亦不平等。是何果報?望世尊慈悲,願為弟子一一解說!

        佛告阿難,與諸大弟子言,善哉!善哉!汝等諦聽,五當為汝等分明說之。一切世間,男女老少,貧賤富貴,受苦無窮,享福不盡,皆是前生因果之報。以何所作故?先須孝敬父母,敬信三寶,次要戒殺放生,念佛布施,能種後世福田。

        佛說因果偈云:

        富貴皆由命,前世各修因,有人受持者,世世福祿深。

善男信女聽言因,聽念三世因果經,三世因果非小可,佛言真語莫非輕。

1.     今生做官為何因?前世黃金萓簳迭C

His holding the position of a high ranking government office this generation is the consequence of his decorating the statue of the Lord Buddha with gold leaf in his previous life.

2.     騎馬坐轎為何因?前世修橋舖路人。

Why is he having the privilege to ride on a horse or travel on a sedan chair? It is the consequence of his contribution made to the public welfare by raising funds to build the bridge and repair the road in his previous life.

3.     穿綢穿緞為何因?前世施衣敬僧人。

Why he is so rich as to wear in silk fabrics or in satin dress? It is the consequence of his donating robes to the Buddhist monks in his previous life.

4.          有食有穿為何因?前世茶飯施貧人。

Why does he not worry about food and dress? It is the consequence of his giving alms to the poor in his previous life.

5.     高樓大廈為何因?前世施米上庵門。

Why he is so rich as to be able to live in luxurious mansion? It is the consequence of his donating rice right to the door of the nuns’ monastery in his previous life.

6.     福祿具足為何因?前世造庵建涼亭。

Why he is sufficient in his lucky and prosperity? It is the consequence of his generous donation made in the construction of the monastery for nuns as well as of the pavilion built for the shelter of the public in his previous life.

7.     相貌端嚴為何因?前世鮮花供佛前。

Why he is so dignified in his outer aspects? It is the consequence of his offering flowers on the altar of the Lord Buddha in his previous life.

8.          聰明智慧為何因?前世誦經念佛人。

Why he is full of wisdom? It is the consequence of his daily prayers and chanting by the name of the Lord Buddha in the previous life.

9.          夫妻長守為何因?前世幢旛供佛前。

Why the husband and wife can stay together for life? It is the consequence of his offering of streamers and silk pennants before the altar of the Lord Buddha in his previous life.

10.   父母雙全為何因?前世敬重孤獨人。

Why both of his parents are still alive? It is the consequence of his paying respect to those who were lonely in his previous life.

11.   多子多孫為何因?前世開籠放鳥人。

Why has he so many sons and grandsons? It is the consequence of his setting the birds free from the cages in his previous life.

12.   今生長命為何因?前世買物多放生。

Why does he enjoy longlivedness in his present life? It is the consequence of his setting the livestocks free after having bought them back in his merciness in his previous life.

13.      今生守寡為何因?前世輕賤丈夫身。

Why does she become a widow this life? It is because she scorned her husband in her previous life.

14.      今生奴婢為何因?前世忘恩負義人。

Why does he become a slave this present life? It is because he forgot to return the favour given to him by the other people in his previous life.

15.   今生眼明為何因?前世捨油點佛燈。

Why does he have bright eyes to see the world this present life? It is because he donated the oil money to light up the statue of the Lord Buddha in his previous life.

16.   今生聾啞為何因?前世惡口罵雙親。

Why is he dumb and deaf this present life? It is because he used to scold his parents in his previous life.

17.   今生駝背為何因?前世笑了拜佛人。

Why is he humpbacked this present life? It is because he used to sarcastic at the people who prayed in front of the Buddha.

18.   今生牛馬為何因?前世欠債不還人。

Why does he become a cow or a horse this present life? It is because he did not care to discharge the debts he owed people in his previous life.

19.      今生無病為何因?前世施藥救病人。

Why is he free from illness this present life? It is because he used to donate medicines for the treatment of the sick in his previous life.

20.   伶仃孤苦為何因?前世惡心侵算人。

Why is he all alone by himself without any relatives or friends in this present life? It is because he used to bring harmness to the other people with an evil heart in his previous life.

果:功德無量

因:獻金裝佛

果:顯爵高官

因:鮮花供佛

果:美艷照人

因:布施衣布

果:穿綢穿緞

因:施米庵寺

果:高樓大廈

因:濟弱憐貧

果:紫帶錦袍

因:戒殺放生

果:兒孫滿堂

因:修橋舖路

果:出入汽車

因:敬老尊貴

果:福慧壽全

因:指點迷津

果:人見人欲

因:廣結善緣

果:妻媳賢美

因:懷恨他人

果:養子不大

因:淫人妻女

果:一生無妻

因:常看淫書

果:眼睛失明

因:挑撥離間

果:常吐鮮血

因:聞法不信

果:兩耳失聽

因:虐待畜生

果:瘡瘢上身

因:妒忌他人

果:身生臭氣

因:多說是非

果:出生缺口

因:毆打父母

果:今生曲手

因:破壞路橋

果:雙腳彎曲

因:幸災樂禍

果:疾病纏身

因:存心哄人

果:作豬作狗

因:見危不救

果:得生牢厄

因:謠言傷人

果:被人毒死

因:鄙視佣人

果:醜陋矮小

因:損人利己

果:上吊死亡

因:謗出家人

果:雷打火燒

因:多結怨仇

果:虎咬蛇傷

因:笑罵乞丐

果:餓死路旁

因:不惜妻兒

果:鰥寡孤獨

因:若人毀謗因果經

果:後世墮落無人身

因:有人受持因果經

果:諸佛菩薩作證明

因:有人書寫因果經

果:世代兒孫家道興

因:有人頂帶因果經

果:凶災橫禍不臨身

因:有人講說因果經

果:生生世世得聰明

因:有人高唱因果經

果:來生多人愛恭敬

因:有人印送因果經

果:消災免難福壽增

因:若是因果無感應

果:善惡賞罰如何分

因:若人深信因果經

果:同生西方極樂國

人世界之眾人,舉足動步,起心動念,無非是罪,無非是業,認識身心當下之行為價值,肯定吾人生死流傳之因,深信因果人間地獄未空,誓不成正覺眾生度盡,方證菩提。

招來幸福的念波

L     恐怖心

L     卑視心

L     不平不滿心

格言

        諸惡莫作        眾善奉行        自淨其意,是諸佛教

        欲做精金美玉的人品,定從烈火中鍛來。思立掀天揭地的事功,須向箔冰上履過。

        撥開世上的塵氣,胸中自無火炎冰兢,消卻心中鄙吝,眼前時有月到風來。

        立百福之基,只在一念慈祥,開萬善之門,無如寸心挹損。

欲遇變而無倉忙,須向常時念念守得定。欲臨死而無貪戀,須向生時事事看得輕。

宇宙內事,要力擔當,又要善擺脫。不擔當,則無經世之事業,不擺脫,則無出世之襟期。

舌存常見齒亡,剛強終不勝柔弱。戶朽未聞樞蠧,偏執豈能及圓融。

天欲禍人,必先以微福驕之,所以福來不必喜,要看他會受。天欲福人,必先以微禍儆之,所以禍來不必憂,要看他會救。

橫逆困窮,是鍛煉豪傑的一副爐鎚,能受其鍛煉者,則身心交益。不受其鍛煉者,則身心交損。

害人之心不可有,防人之心不可無,此戒疏于慮者。寧受人之欺毋迎人之詐,此警傷于察者,二語並存,精明渾厚矣。

不責人小過,不發人陰私,不念人舊惡,三者可以養德,也可以遠害。

家人有過,不宜暴揚。不宜輕棄,此事難言,借他事以諷之。今日不悟,俟來日以警之。如春風之鮮凍,和氣之消冰,才是家庭之典範。

孤眠敗砌,兔走荒台,盡是當年歌舞之地;露冷黃花,烟迷衰草,悉屬舊時爭戰之場。盛衰何常,強弱安在?念此則對宇宙更深之認識。

寵辱不惊,聞看庭前花開花落;去留無意,漫隨天外雲捲雲舒。

出世之道,即在涉世之中,不必絕人以逃世;了心之動,即在盡心之內,不必絕慾以灰心。

貪得者,分金恨不得玉,封侯怨不援公,權豪自甘乞丐;知足者,藜羮旨于膏梁,布袍煖於孤貉,編民不讓王公。

都來眼前事,知足者仙境,不知足者凡境;總出世上因,善用者生機,不善用者殺機。

不可乘喜而輕諾,不可因醉而生瞋;不可乘恢而多事,不可因倦而鮮終。

持身不可太皎潔,一切污辱垢穢,要茹納得。與人不可太分明。一切善惡賢愚,要包含得。

用人不宜刻,刻則思效者去。交友不宜濫,濫則貢謏者來。

休與小人仇讐,小人自有對頭;休向君子諂媚,君子原無私惠。

一念慈祥,可以醞釀兩間和氣;寸心潔白,可以昭垂百代清芬。

不昧己心,不拂人情,不竭物力,三者可以為天地立心,為生民立命,為子孫造福。

家庭有人真佛,日用有種真道,人能誠心和氣,愉色婉言,使父母兄弟間,形體兩釋,意氣交流,勝于調息觀心萬倍矣。
